A quality 600W model would suffice for that setup (unless you're pushing it to overclock). I'd prefer units with a solid warranty duration. This helps maintain the product's standard.
Hey there,
I have a comparable configuration. I use a 5600x OC@ 4.85ghz and a 3060ti. As before, a decent 600w should suffice, but opting for a 750w or 850w would be wise if possible. Usually, the higher wattage models only add about 20$ extra.
I own a Corsair TXM650, which works great. I might upgrade to something around 850w when the next GPU comes along.
Any Corsair TXM/RMx/RMI/RMe, Seasonic Focus +/Focus GX, Super Flower Leadex III or similar options are good choices. All these PSUs come with warranties lasting 7-10 years.
Check if you've counted the HDDs and SSDs. My ASUS Xonar STX I have is working properly. The Bequiet Calculator suggests a maximum of 506W unless you enable that feature, which would require 606W. I'm unsure if my motherboard supports 3.2 Gen. 2 for power delivery. Right now I have an Inaza Fusion with 700W installed and a Seasonic Core GC with 650W already in use. Off topic: do you experience any advantages from overclocking your CPU, such as improved performance in games?
Refrain from using PSU calculators. They aren't always accurate.
And yes, with the HDDs, you'll still be fine with a quality 600W unit.
Yes! OC-ing CPU could result in higher FPS and better performance overall (depends on the games). Keep an eye on the temperatures though!
As mentioned before, going with a higher wattage unit (650 or 700w) won't harm either. If you're OC-ing, go with a 650W or 700W for better stability and headroom.
The Seasonic Core GC 650W is a suitable power supply for your setup, you don't need to upgrade it.
alright, I'll keep it, thank you for advice mr. Flayed!.
Great! I already have a
Seasonic Core GC, 80+ Gold, 650W
so I will keep it.
do you have a guide on how to OC my Ryzen 7 5700x ? The mainboard is also a decent one. I think I can try oc-ing. But If i'm oc-ing , the 650W source that I have installed is enough?
It should work well. My Corsair TXM runs smoothly with a 4,85ghs single core and 4.65 all-core OC on my 5600X.
For CPU optimization, consider using Ryzen Master or CTR2.1 to perform auto OC. Simply press a button, and applications will evaluate your CPU and apply the changes automatically.
Alternatively, you can manually adjust settings via BIOS, enable PBO, and run a CO test to determine if you can undervolt for better performance.
