I just checked if 16GB of RAM would be sufficient for editing and streaming. I understand it works well for gaming, but its capacity might differ for those tasks.

Relies on how good the streaming or recording quality is. For example, when editing videos at 1080p60fps, I stay well under my PC's 16GB limit (even with Chrome running). With 4K60fps footage, I can hit 99% or full usage. When recording gameplay using CPU encoding, I rarely go past 16GB, usually at higher resolutions than 1080p60fps. I think this pattern will continue for streaming too. However, depending on the game, they might need a lot more memory as well.

You have limited RAM but manage to edit smoothly in UE4. Streaming to Twitch from your PC works without issues, and you’re not feeling restricted by adding streaming to gaming. Your setup includes an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 1080. You’re currently streaming at 720p since your internet speed isn’t sufficient for 1080p, though you think higher quality might strain the system.

Thanks! Streaming at 1080p with 60fps will require just enough memory.
