I have an rx480 and an i5 6500. At high settings, games like CS GO, Battlefield 1, and GTA V run smoothly at 75+ FPS. Recently, CS GO dropped to under 25 FPS, and both Battlefield 1 and GTA V became nearly impossible to play. I’ve checked my GPU drivers and restarted the PC several times, but nothing improved. I’m looking for some assistance.

Use the clean drivers from DDU and revert to the previous version that functioned properly.

Hey, no problem. I’m not a tech expert, so I might have misunderstood. You probably meant to remove and reinstall the drivers, and also roll back to the previous version if needed. Thanks for clarifying!

Monitor your temperatures while gaming; they might indicate thermal throttling.

It doesn't seem to have started off smoothly at a high frame rate, then gradually declined. I just turned it on today and noticed this issue. (It was at room temperature since it wasn't on.)

Windows didn’t lag, so I switched you into power saver mode or something similar.

Review your previous training modules, then track resource consumption with HWmonitor.

Balance or high performance settings work well. It seems like there might be some background activity. Is the Task Manager displaying elevated CPU usage when not in use?

Sure, I'll do my best. Let me know if you'd like me to adjust anything.
