I bought an Asus PRIME A320M-K with Ryzen 5 3350G and RX 560 4gb, plus 8gb of DDR4 memory. I used to have an Asus P8H61M, 16gb RAM, Intel i5-3470S, and the same graphics card. After upgrading my system, FPS dropped in CS2 and other games. Before this upgrade, I averaged around 127fps with a low of 73fps, but now I'm seeing about 104 fps average and 63fps at full load. I checked my settings and all cores are working fine without any warnings or errors. Could it be the RAM? Or am I messing up the TPM setting?

Welcome to the forums, new friend! Did you reinstall the operating system after changing the platform? Let's talk about platforms. You should list all the details of your build like this: CPU, cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD or HDD, GPU, power supply unit (don't forget how old it is besides make and model), case, operating system, monitor. Also tell us what version of the BIOS was on your board right now. We'll show a picture before and after to help you see where you went wrong. Moved this thread from the CPUs section to the Systems section.

If you haven't already restarted your PC, it might still have old drivers stuck in its memory. The best step is to save all your files and do a full reinstall of Windows so the computer can settle into a new state. It's possible things are fine right now, but especially if you switched from Intel chips to AMD ones, it feels like putting a big engine inside a tiny car. You might get lucky, but how well will it work?

Yeah, I'm probably gonna do it. The only thing stopping me is the worry of having to install new apps and games again... that's not a big problem for me but my internet is slow at just 4.3mb per second so it really does matter. What about RAM causing issues? When I start up CS2 and Discord, everything takes over like 7.8 or even 7.9 percent!

I'm curious about that power supply unit: "2 years old 550W Bronze Plus". Does it have a make and model? I might not be able to keep up with the new power needs (spikes or otherwise) and things are starting to slip and break down. This is especially true if the PSU has been used for lots of heavy gaming lately.

Did you change the RAM size from two sticks of 8GB DDR3 to one stick of 16GB DDR4? Is that okay? Ryzen systems are a bit sensitive to how much memory they have. Running single channel instead of dual channel will definitely slow things down too. Also, your system probably doesn't have enough memory now when you play games. Can you show me the screenshot from Task Manager showing the Memory section while you're gaming? Please upload it and share the link here.

That sounds pretty much like what's going on right now.
