Attached is a video. Today I made no changes. I was simply operating my computer. Monitors Viotek gn32db running 60 hrtz, Viotek gn32db running 60 hrtz, Samsung odeysey g7 running 240hrtz, HDR PC Intell 7 13700k, Rtx 4070ti, 32 dominator plat, running at 6200, booting nvme 990pro. I use red tightly braided juaux display port cables. The issue with Viotek is that they tend to display strange lines above 120 due to a manufacturing flaw they didn’t pay for. That’s not the root cause. Windows 11’s behavior when it detects extra screens and disconnects them is what triggers this problem. I often need several attempts to switch to full screen or HDR apps. This is the most severe case I’ve seen yet. I reinstalled drivers once and it helped, but it didn’t fix the underlying issue. Sometimes the screens just go black and require a reboot. This happened on my last PC as well.

Replacing cables didn’t resolve it. Trying to reconnect multiple monitors causes them to connect and disconnect repeatedly until I restart, which clears the issue. This also happens when opening games in exclusive full screen because the monitor resolution resets.

I’m nearly a year old with this machine and am struggling to get it working. Maybe trying a DDU first would help.

Have you thought about whether the problem could stem from a cable or display issue? If the link barely meets requirements, it may occasionally slip out of range during a handshake when switching to a new display.

I made some mistakes with the cables when it stopped, but it didn’t happen again now. Everything seems to be working properly. If it was a short circuit, I could recreate the problem. I’m thinking about swapping them out due to their age, though they’re of good quality.

Verify if the black indicator is caused by loose or damaged cables. Disconnect and reconnect the cable to test functionality.

The cables fail inevitably. It’s strange and hard to understand, but it keeps happening. I dislike it. I’ve gotten used to purchasing generic, budget-friendly cables and keeping extra spares. They appear to hold up just like the pricier options.

I checked and confirmed the cables are secure. During the worst moments, each display worked properly on its own. When all three were linked together, it would frequently crash. I bought three green cables today—they seem unnecessary. We'll monitor whether the issues disappear.

The cables didn’t solve the issue. Attempting to connect more than my Samsung monitor caused all displays to repeatedly connect and disconnect. I also heard Windows playing the same sound continuously.
