Not long ago I assembled my initial PC and everything has worked well. Recently, I experienced a stability problem where my computer would abruptly restart during gameplay, and the screen wouldn't return until I manually rebooted it. This situation has intensified recently. During the game, the display went dark midway through, fans reached maximum speed, yet I could still hear the audio. After rebooting, my PC failed to recognize the second monitor. When launching the game, performance dropped drastically to around 5 frames per second. It appears there might be a GPU-related issue. Any suggestions for resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, new member!
Are you using the motherboard MSI B650 for gaming?
Check if this link is correct: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B650-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI
Do you have the BIOS version installed on your board?
Your GPU is an XFX RX 6800.
Was this GPU bought new or refurbished?
Ensure drivers are up to date.
In Safe Mode, use DDU to remove all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD), then restart and manually install the latest driver from AMD's support site via an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

Hi, your response is appreciated!
Motherboard: correct, that's the model. It seems I haven't updated it before: the last update was on 22/5/2024. I should have updated it then.
GPU: although it was an older version, it was brand new.
Drivers: I'll run a DDU and will let you know once I've resolved it.
Thanks again!
Edit: I finished the DDU cleanup and everything is fixed. I should have considered this earlier.
Appreciate your support – keep learning!

I haven't made any changes: this was last updated on 22/5/2024.
If you're using BIOS version 7E26v1C, ensure you have the latest chipset driver for your motherboard, flash the BIOS to version 7E26v1M6 (beta), then clear the CMOS after a successful flash. You should be all set for the rest of the system.
Great news—your issue has been resolved!
