So I bought the latest WoW expansion this evening and am trying to reach 90 with a character. I’m not sure how to approach it. Let me share my style. I tend to be a tough, aggressive player who goes for powerful attacks and fast hits. My defense is more about offense, so I focus on taking damage rather than staying alive. I enjoy using two weapons at once, preferring dual-wielding over single-handed gear. Tanking is okay for me, but I’m not overly picky—monks are a good fit for that reason. Rogues are another favorite; I have one at level 30, though I haven’t stuck with them much. I might be considering boosting them now. I also play rogues in PvE, but I’m curious about what they’re like right after the update. For fun, I plan to do both PvP and PvE, aiming for top DPS performance. Overall, I want a class that’s enjoyable, especially since the next patch might make the strongest class the most vulnerable. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It's a button, you tap it, choose a character, and increase power.

Monks rank highest among DPS in challenge modes, closely followed by Hunters.

Fury warrior concept? I crafted a protection warrior earlier, preparing for a gladiator stance.

It seems you're leaning toward a fierce warrior or cunning rogue. Most popular builds are still strong, but Blizzard is aware of the problems. I’ve got Prot and Glad, which feel more balanced right now.

The upcoming adjustments are on the horizon, don't stress. @XDroidie626 – it's overused, but you should genuinely play what excites you because eventually the season's taste gets tweaked or balanced. Right now, WW monks, feral druids, and MM hunters stand out in raw damage. Warlocks and fire/arcane mages are struggling a bit. Keep in mind the devs mentioned changes once raids launch. Personally, I’ve re-rolled a mage after switching from a warlock since then.

This term seems to match what you're seeking. I don't have any examples with a rogue, but it looks promising too.

Avoid letting the highest DPS affect your character selection, as per your advice—I’d recommend going rogue or monk. Warriors seem pretty dull.
