Hello, I mainly play Destiny 2 on a PC with the details you provided. I'm using two 1080 Ti graphics cards connected via SLI, which usually gives me a decent frame rate. I often see around 30 FPS during gameplay, sometimes reaching 45-70 depending on the situation. I can occasionally hit higher numbers, but usually it drops to 100+ only in menus or load screens. Since I'm running two cards together, I expect better performance than this. I haven't tested other titles, as Destiny 2 is my primary game. I've attached some logs from MSI Afterburner, showing the data from a short session (about 10 minutes). I played around in an area, moved and fired a few times. Would you have any advice on what else to check or optimize? Or should I consider upgrading my CPU, GPU, or cooling setup? My system includes an Acer Predator Z35P motherboard, a NZXT Kraken X42, and other components listed.

It seems the processor is reaching its limit.

You'll need to purchase a more powerful CPU. This upgrade will also involve updating your platform, including the CPU, RAM, and motherboard.

Check your drivers. Even with a CPU bottleneck, you shouldn't be achieving 30fps.

Nvidia drivers are also up to date. I've also revisited ~411.xx, currently around ~416.xx. It seems a 30 FPS hit was rare. The lowest frame rate is typically 40-45 FPS, though 40-45 FPS often appears when loading into big game environments.

From the logs, GPU consumption stays around 35% to 41%. CPU usage averages 30% to 60% per core. I don’t have a variance figure, but neither metric appears at its highest.

It seems the graphics card isn't matching the performance of the CPU.

Usage metrics don't always tell the whole story. Core-specific consumption can offer better insight, though it's not guaranteed. The 1600MHz RAM also doesn't provide clarity.

I submitted the order with these details. I'll share my findings later. The components include a high-performance Intel Core i7 processor, a 6-core motherboard with 300 series 95W specs, and various RAM and graphics cards.

I recently purchased the same items mostly, but only in standard 1080 settings. It’s significantly improved, though it wouldn’t be considered “playable.” I’ve only tried one game on it, and it seems unlikely to change much over the next year.
