Hey there! Over the last couple of months my PC has been having some trouble. It often stutters during games like Starfield, which is now completely unplayable. I notice CPU and GPU usage dropping together, causing heavy lag. Fortnite also gets inconsistent GPU performance, and CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege sometimes freeze in-game. I've uninstalled and reinstalled GPU drivers several times using DDU, and I've tried updating Windows 11 on different SSDs. Everything else is up to date—my chipset drivers, BIOS, and AMD drivers are all current. My specs are: Ryzen 9 3900X at 4 GHz, XFX Speedster 6700XT GPU, 4x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX at 3000 MHz, ASUS X570 TUF Gaming motherboard, a 750-watt PSU, 1 TB WD Blue hard drive, and a 500 GB WD SN 750 SSD. Any suggestions would be really helpful.

Zen 2 runs smoothly at 30-45 fps in Starfield. Slightly smoother in many titles, though it lags behind in 1080p. It's time to consider an upgrade.

Do you see anything in the event viewer? Have you checked the fTPM stutter issues? (I thought it was fixed, though I could be wrong) I believe it isn’t installed on your hard drive. Before now, the computer didn’t stutter? Probably only with Siege, as CS2 and Starfield came out recently.

1. I mostly ignore the event viewer unless my computer crashes or an app stops working, which rarely happens for me.
2. I haven’t explored fTPM yet, but I plan to disable it in my BIOS to check if it resolves the problem.
3. I’ve played Starfield on both HDD and SSD drives.
4. The Fortnite issue has been ongoing for about two years, though SIege, CS2, and Starfield are relatively new.

Be cautious with that; it's unclear whether you can simply switch it on or off in Windows 11, particularly when encryption is involved.

It seems you're unable to disable FTPM on Windows 11, which means it won't be included in your troubleshooting steps.
