Hi, thanks for your reply. I used to run my CPU at 4.6GHz but lost my overclocking settings, making it unstable at that speed. The best overclock I ever achieved was 4.89GHz (it crashed at 4.9), but it was too unstable and I only did it for a high benchmark score. Now my CPU is delidded and I'm using a 240mm AIO cooler.
Although I genuinely don't think the issue lies with my CPU speed.
Edit: I just ran CPU-Z bench and I'm hitting 509singlecore and 1958multicore, which is a bit low compared to a 4.3 OC.

just attempting to assist, are you utilizing DisplayPort version 1.2? it may resolve a few issues.

I'm relying on HDMI for my main display because the DP isn't functioning properly anymore (my 144hz is now running at 120hz), though I still use DP for the secondary one. However, when I restart my PC and have to wait about an hour before it turns back on, the DP connection drops. It's just strange, but that's the situation.

Great news, I tried the GTX1060 on my "server PC" and everything worked fine. The only problem I noticed was Latency Mon recording high DPC time from dxgkrnl.sys, but it didn’t seem to impact my gameplay—possibly due to a large load spike during rendering. At least the GPU is acting correctly. I plan to switch the PSU tomorrow and see how it affects things.

I attempted to use the CV550 with the system and the stutters kept happening. Changing RAM one at a time didn’t help either. Switching the BIOS to another version also didn’t resolve the issue. The main hint I got was that stutters increased when the CPU speed was lower, suggesting the processor might be outdated after eight years of use. I saw on a forum that stutters are often linked to the CPU, so I’m hoping the problem isn’t with the motherboard.

Yes, I consistently reset the CMOS after installing a new one.
