Stuttering in all games- Drivers?
A recent issue has emerged after updating NVIDIA drivers through GeForce Experience, causing significant stutters when launching games. The problem persists even after reinstalling the older 419.67 driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and without GeForce Experience installed.
The stuttering is prominent in benchmarks like Metro Last Light, as demonstrated in the attached video. Initial investigations suggest potential issues related to memory standby or Windows failing to clear it properly, although this doesn’t appear to be the root cause as evidenced by available RAM after exiting recording.
System specifications include: i5-6500 CPU, Asus B150 Pro Gaming/Aura motherboard, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO cooler, MSI Gaming X GTX 1060 6GB, 8GB Avexir DDR4-2400 CL16 RAM, and a Crucial BX200 SSD alongside WD Blue HDDs. Performance metrics include 73% in Game benchmarks, 65% in Desk, and 41% in Work.
The issue is frustrating, and the user seeks assistance to resolve the stuttering problem.
Hi all, happy to inform you that it was google chrome for some reason running in the background taking up up to 70% of my CPU power. If experiencing the same thing, go into google chrome settings and turn off continue running background apps while chrome is closed, thanks.
