It's strongly suggested to try it at 2400. This should largely eliminate memory or CPU instability problems.

That could actually hurt your CPU performance. Lowering memory speed isn't recommended, even if you're not focusing on high FPS. Since you mostly play solo games, the impact might be minimal, but it's still worth considering.

Are the RAM slots labeled A2 and B2 as the light-grey ones? That would explain the issue you had with your ASUS board when trying to set the RAM to 4600 MHz instead of the default 2133 MHz.

It would never be a problem to run RAM at the DDR4 JEDEC standard rate. That’s exactly what disabling XMP does—XMP enables overclocking, so turning it off lets the RAM operate according to its real DDR4 specifications.

I placed it in alternative slots. The ones inside the brackets (| = RAM slot) are highlighted.

Press Win+S, select Event Viewer, and look in the administrative section or Windows logs for an error report.

The RAM speed listed might be based on a different benchmark or testing scenario.

The kernel is now active after a restart that wasn’t a complete shutdown. This issue might stem from the system failing to respond, crashing, or losing power suddenly.
