Recently my computer has been experiencing the WHEA_UNCORRETABLE_ERROR. Seeing this triggers frustration, though I’ve usually managed it before. Now it’s becoming a serious problem. My system specs are: GPU 3090, 32GB RAM (Corsair 3000MHz), C16 CPU, 1GB LGA 1200, Gigabyte Z590 vision, PSU Corsair 850W Gold, storage options including two 2TB M.2 and four 4TB M.2 drives, cooling with Deepcool Castle 360EX, plus several RGB fans. It’s a fairly new build from about 4-5 months ago—previously stable until now. The only recent upgrades were the 4TB M.2 drive and a new Alienware QD-OLED monitor. I haven’t noticed any issues with those yet.

I’ve tried removing the GPU to check power delivery, disabling the new fans, cleaning out RAM sticks, reseating the CPU, and even resetting the motherboard one by one. BIOS flashing, updating drives, memory checks, CPU health tests—everything I could do hasn’t resolved it. Now I’m stuck trying a clean Windows install to ensure no corrupt files remain, but it’s failing halfway through.

I’m worried this might be a motherboard or power supply issue, especially since RMA would take time and I have university exams coming up. Any advice on troubleshooting steps before giving it to the manufacturer?

WHA is related to a CPU or PCIe hardware problem. I'm wondering if you've ever resolved it before, since it doesn't seem like a typical fix. Do you have any dump files available? There are instructions in the "BSOD Posting guidelines" thread on this forum.
