I’m working with a GT-AX11000 and have generally been content so far. The latency at my location has remained stable for most of my stay. Sometimes game servers would display ping values that are double what I’m used to, but resetting the system always brings it back to normal. Recently, after getting an upgraded modem from Spectrum, all servers in games doubled or tripled their ping, similar to past experiences. After several live chats, a few technicians visiting my place, and multiple factory resets, the problem persists. The odd thing is that when I connect directly to the modem, my ping stays around 30ms in the servers I play on, whereas switching to the router causes 90ms or higher. I’ve tested swapping routers for the same model and updated firmware, but nothing changed. I’m using the latest Merlin version and connected via Ethernet, not Wi-Fi. I’m new to networking and have checked all the guides I found, yet I still can’t resolve this. Could there be a setting I’m missing or another factor at play? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
