Hey guys. Here’s what I have: my specs are – xeon x5660 (superior to even the i7 3770, cinebench score 710), xfx r9 270x with 2gb and 8gb ram (4gb x2). I can crank up the settings in every game, but in Apex Legends, even when lowering everything else to 900p and other settings at lowest, I don’t see steady 60 fps. It’s around 10-15 in air and 40-50 on the ground with spikes hitting 25fps. I’ve updated the drivers and the game. The biggest issue is that people with the same GPU but weaker CPUs still get better performance and higher scores while recording. Check out these videos for more info:

This is really frustrating, please help

^ The issue here is that the game demands more than 8GB of RAM.
Open MSI Afterburner on the screen and monitor your RAM usage while playing. If it's near 7.5GB or higher, it will likely be using the pagefile, leading to performance problems.
Fortunately, DDR3 memory is affordable. You can check Craigslist or eBay for compatible RAM for your system.

Did you ensure all background processes and applications, such as Chrome, were stopped before starting the game?

The task manager indicates the amount of RAM being used during the game session.

Do you have the latest AMD driver set up for your graphics card?

I'm not entirely confident about that.
I just started the game and checked the Training lobby, finding around 3GB of RAM usage in the task manager (with a total of 9GB on the system). That's lower than what I expected.
I was certain it had been using 10-12GB before.
