Struggling to get your AMD A10 5800K to run beyond 4.4? I can assist!
Hello, I increased my A10 5800K to 4.4 Ghz but couldn't go any higher even though temperatures stayed around 60°C most of the time while gaming (the highest recorded was 77°C, but it was rare). I think my stock fan cooler is working fine, and the temperatures don’t seem to be an issue. My motherboard is an ASRock Fm2A58M-VG3+, and I have 8GB DDR3 RAM. The power supply is a budget 600W unit.
Every time I try to push it to 4.5 Ghz, Windows becomes very unstable. I’m currently running at 1.55 volts, and I can’t increase it any further because the BIOS limits it to 1.55.
I’m not sure what else I can do. I think I’ve reached the maximum voltage for my CPU, so I’m wondering if there’s another way to improve stability without increasing the voltage.
Many elements can hinder your progress.
1. CPU selection is unpredictable.
2. Temperature readings often don’t match reality.
3. RAM timing specifications—especially for APUs—should be around 2133MHz.
4. Motherboard and microcode updates are important. I had to downgrade due to lower voltage limits and less precise temperature sensors, likely unintentionally.
