Reviewed several spots, the price is around 165$, matching an 85$ CPU from Amazon plus an 80$ motherboard from MC. Also, the Gigabyte board isn't great.
It includes everything you need, with a M2 slot and thermal protection for the Ryzen CPU. The RAM should work as well as I can tell. Would you think this combination is a good idea? It could save some money and the motherboard looks much better than the ASRock PRO VHD or other options.
I’d prefer a small extra charge for the additional M.2 port and improved power delivery on Asrock, though the decision is yours. Yes. Alternatively, consider SanDisk Ultra 3D or Crucial MX500 if you can get them at a lower price.
Microcenter doesn't carry the B450M steel model. I'll need to order it from Amazon instead. It's a bit slower since I'm nearby and can pick it up locally. On Amazon, the 2600x parts are now priced similarly to those at MicroCenter. Should I purchase the steel legend online and the CPU with RAM at MicroCenter? Also, I'm planning to buy the PSU and case from Amazon. I'll share a link to my cart on both sites now.
