Struggling Frames model - Warzone 10700K @5ghz-2080 FE with 958 MB RAM and 82-core CL18-4000mhz processor.
Similar to the title, I face challenges keeping above 60fps in Warzone at times with this configuration. Streaming for 10700K @5ghz-2080 FE + 958 mem + 82 core-CL18-4000mghz RAM. Everything is overclocked. I use Nvenc for streaming, 720P output, and 1080p recording. It runs on a 1440P panel at 2048 x 1152, which gives better frames than 1080p. I’m considering ways to boost my frame rate. Spending around $600 on a secondary PC could help. An ITX build with a R5 3600 and an 1050ti would work well. I’m near two microcenters, cooling is fine, but I still struggle with smooth 60fps. Any suggestions or advice? Your settings are available here: links provided.
Your 2080 with nvenc should likely play smoother than the 3600.
Using nvenc as the next step seems to be the intended approach.
Check if your GPU is operating at maximum capacity during streaming. It seems you expect smooth performance without dropping below 100 FPS when not streaming. Have you considered switching to software encoding on the CPU for streaming?
RTX is definitely turned off. I don’t have the CPU or GPU usage stats yet, but I’ll have them soon when I’m streaming. I can easily reach a 10850k bitrate, though I’m not sure it will fix the issues forever. I’m fine without streaming, and I haven’t used x264 much because many times people say Warzone is CPU-heavy.
I understood Warzone impacted all aspects of the system, but since I don’t play much, I thought it would be a GPU-intensive game unless it was mostly single-threaded.
