Struggles to reach speeds above 270 Mbps on Galaxy A52 devices.
Speed is influenced by several elements. Which device does your A52 connect to your router? Typically, most 2.4GHz routers provide around 300Mbps per antenna, and most phones have just one. A computer might have two antennas, allowing it to reach up to 600Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. If your phone uses the 5GHz frequency, you could experience faster speeds. However, keep in mind that 5GHz signals weaken more quickly with distance compared to 2.4GHz. That’s why I favor connecting my phone via the 2.4GHz band when range matters more than speed. Hope this clarifies things.
Thanks for the response. You're on the right track with 5GHz, and it's understandable you're unsure about the antenna details. Since you couldn't locate that info, you might want to check the device's specifications in the settings or look for a manual online.
Most phones are using 1 antenna. Yours is no exception. Routers typically have 2 or 3. EDIT : I read around for the A52s and it seems that the hardware is limited to 390Mbps whichever band you are using. In practice, a max of 390Mbps is never achieved so a max 270MBps in real life situations is within expectations. Since this is a hardware limitation imposed by Samsung, there is not much you can do about it.
Thank you once more. I thought I understood the situation, so I reached out to Samsung Support (Members) who suggested visiting a service center. However, each time I checked myself, it felt like a hardware issue. My settings display a maximum link speed of 390 Mbps, which is disappointing since I’m unsure why this was set. It seems like a cost-saving decision on their part, but I appreciate you taking the time to assist me.
