Structure of the entire folder is restricted by access controls.
I just reinstalled Windows 10 Home on my editing PC. Now each folder in the project I'm working on shows "You have been denied permission to access this folder." I tried fixing access to the root and another folder, but everything is locked. How can I resolve this for the whole structure without checking every folder one by one, which would take a long time?
Only the emphasized folders are affected, but the rest remain unchanged. Handling all the remaining folders would require additional steps.
You'll be prompted to confirm if you want to modify folders, subfolders, and files during the operation.
This guide is really helpful, even though it doesn’t load completely for me. It explains how to handle subfolders—something I haven’t tried myself. You can check out https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.laptopm...e-explorer for more details. Just remember, it might still take a long time, so consider reinstalling Windows if possible. It would be faster that way, even though it could happen again. I’d suggest figuring out the reason first before acting.
Are you concerned about the depth of your folder setup? You're aware that Windows imposes a filename length restriction, and any changes might disrupt things. You can use robocopy to transfer and access files afterward. For more details, see this link: https://superuser.com/questions/1123876/...ring-permi
