I took out my microphone from the computer and my friends began yelling and shouting, asking me to mute it. I unplugged it completely, but they mentioned they could still hear a very loud sound coming from me. HELP!!!

They can detect a strong buzzing sound, I can too occasionally, roughly every half minute, but it disappears once I turn off the device.
