Strong fan noise, overheating CPU without cause.
Hey there, I noticed your CPU fan is getting very loud lately. There seems to be an issue with the CPU voltage going up to 4.2 without any clear reason. While taking this screenshot, I opened Mozilla, Facebook, YouTube and two more sites, and the fan was also quite noisy. My system has an i7-8700, a GTX 1080 graphics card, and it runs on a B360 Pro 4 motherboard. If you need help translating the Polish text, just let me know.
It looks like it is time for you to reapply thermal paste. Your CPU voltage is just fine, your graphics card and your CPU is running hot, this either would mean you have no airflow inside your case and/or you need to replace the thermal paste on both. Question for you: why do you the iGPU enabled?
I haven't applied thermal paste to my GPU. When I checked my case, the fans weren't functioning properly, and the games didn't start as expected. What might be happening?
Well you HAVE to, so not sure whats that about. As for fans, its most likely programmed to keep silent until there is a good load.
Did you verify the GPU temperatures? Contemporary graphics cards feature a fan speed setting that stops rotation when not needed. Additionally, thermal paste is essential for both CPU and GPU to function properly.
I’ll use them next, but do you have any suggestions for top pastes to improve your setup?
