Downloaded Doom (2016) on my laptop and then on my desktop. My desktop is significantly more powerful than my laptop, though it’s in a less convenient spot. Could Steam Remote Play let me stream the game from my laptop to my desktop? I often enjoy playing in bed but haven’t faced any hardware issues with my laptop.

You should click the arrow next to the gameplay button in the Steam library, which will show streaming options. There could be additional steps, like entering a pin for your chosen computer, but the overall method seems straightforward.
