Hello, I want to enhance the quality of my streams but I'm not sure which parts of my computer need upgrading for better performance. My current specs are: CPU Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB RAM at 1064Mhz, and a GTX 1060 6GB. With these, I can stream in 720p but struggle with 1080p. I'm unsure what upgrades would help me reach 1080p streaming.

Hey there,
In a perfect scenario, you’d want to upgrade all three components.
A Ryzen 2700x, 16GB of RAM at 3200MHz or higher, and an RTX 2060 Super/AMD5700/XT or better.
You’d be confident you’d have sufficient power to run at 1080p with high video quality settings, minimal frame drops, and a smoother gaming experience with enhanced options.

A more recent graphics card with the Turing-based encoder would be very beneficial. I also support increasing the RAM speed. Watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYOWEyyDcb8&t=1s

Why? What amount of money do you believe you're losing because of the quality of your streams? If you run your GPU with shadowplay, you can boost its priority in Task Manager (nvcontainer.exe), enabling you to record at 1080/60 without sacrificing performance. If your recordings are fine but your stream isn't, the issue lies with your connection and nothing on your PC will ever resolve it.
