Hey everyone, I'm considering upgrading my tablet and wondering if a Samsung S11 Ultra is a good choice compared to the regular model for taking full advantage of Wi-Fi 7 at home. I'm leaning away from it but still curious about real-world testing on network speed and Steam streaming performance. So far, I've only seen some personal stories, not solid data. Are there any creators who have done in-depth tests? Also, just a note—my current iPad Pro is from around 2017, apps aren't updating much anymore, and my wife and I use it for entertainment instead of TV. My door keeps me from mounting it in the bedroom, which is a bit annoying but I've gotten used to it. I know someone who uses a Steam Deck, which is cheaper but offers more features and screen size, plus my wife relies on it too.

I don't think the stream would go beyond 100 megabits, even at 4k 60 FPS, and usually it stays under 25 megabits most of the time. What matters most is stability and consistency for real-time streaming rather than raw bandwidth. Go with Ethernet whenever you can.

Thanks for your input. I considered adding it but realized it might affect other devices and the steam setup. Apologies if this caused confusion!

It’s going to be the optimal choice with top signal strength and minimal interference. If you can achieve 6E with strong signal quality and no other devices nearby, that would be ideal.
