Hey there, I've set up a new PC a few months back and it's performing well overall. However, I've noticed that videos in any browser—Chrome, Edge, Firefox—tend to load slowly, usually taking 5-10 seconds before playing. It seems to work for some sites like YouTube and Instagram, but not for Prime Video, other streaming services, or Discord. Recently, videos are loading much slower than before, and after a while they stop responding entirely. What's unusual is that rebooting the PC only adds a brief buffer period, yet it doesn't resolve the issue completely. I've also experienced delays with Discord notifications, which I've tried to fix by using compatibility mode for Windows 7 and 8, but it hasn't helped much. Additionally, connecting to other users has become slower than usual, making the "RTC Connecting" step take longer than expected, though I can still get through. I have solid internet speed (about 650 Mbps down) and my graphics drivers are current. I cleared my Chrome cache and history, installed the latest updates for Windows and Discord. My system specs are: Windows 11, Intel i7-14700KF, Asus TUF GAMING Z790-PRO, Wi-Fi, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM at 7200 MHz. It's becoming quite frustrating. Any suggestions?
Through extensive research, I discovered the solution. Removing the Realtek audio driver often resolves the problem. Once I deleted it, my issues with Discord and video playback disappeared.
