I have this setup: i5 11400 with 256GB M.2 8GB DDR4 at 2666Mhz. I’m realizing I need more RAM. It’s slow to cache a 7GB video and encoding it into an MP4 takes a long time. I’m thinking about upgrading but wonder if the CPU is limiting performance with just six cores. When the CPU is idle, usage drops to 4% at full speed, and RAM usage stays similar. Physical memory is around 79%.
