Macs don’t have built-in support for Xbox 360 controllers. When using a controller on your MacBook Pro during home streaming, inputs would likely be processed and sent back to your gaming PC, but the system might not recognize them properly.

That is entirely up to the application you are using for in-home streaming. If you're using Steam, I'm not sure as I don't own a mac, but from what I understand, I thought you could play steam games on ANY OS that Steam runs on with Logitech, Xbox360, or the Steam controller. There does appear to be an unofficial Xbox 360 controller driver hosted on GitHub though, so you could always give that a try. https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller

My PC serves as a guest room in the living area, so when guests arrive I stream to my MacBook Pro. The link you mentioned likely leads to the right app for connecting an Xbox One controller—I’m sure that’s what I used. I’ll share the site I accessed: https://www.tekrevue.com/tip/xbox-one-controller-mac/. Various guides suggest using the Xbox One app or the X360 app; I installed the Xbox One version and it didn’t recognize my controller. After switching to the X360 app, both worked properly.
