I’m adapting an old Gateway HX2800 with a Core 2 Quad Q8200 for streaming platforms like YouTube and Disney+. I’ve experimented with Android TV x86 images from the community, but I face problems detecting Wi-Fi or getting stuck in a Linux console at startup. Linux media center distros such as LibreELEC didn’t fit my needs. How can I build my own installer and add Wi-Fi drivers for this system? Are there other Linux distributions with a suitable TV interface that support streaming apps? I’m using a Linksys AE1200 dongle that works well on Windows and Zorin OS.
