I often join streams to chat with the streamer while doing other activities. The game serves as a topic of conversation, and sometimes you can watch top-level gameplay and pick up some tips.

Sure, I can explain that. If they're "big," it means they have a substantial size or scale. This could refer to physical dimensions, importance, or impact in a given context.

I only follow esports streams if they’re officially recognized. I don’t watch casual streams like someone playing Apex Legends just for fun; I appreciate the excitement and skill involved. I enjoy competitive gaming content such as ESL One, E-League, and StarSeries for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, plus Rocket League Championship Series for Rocket League. I refer to these as "television streams" because I usually watch them on TV. I also have a personal Twitch channel, but I only stream when a friend wants to see my gameplay.

It depends on what you mean by "watching." If you're thinking about following a team's overall performance rather than focusing on individual players, then yes—it's similar to watching a team sport.

Imagine watching professional sports like NBA, NFL, MLS, NHL, but in a gaming arena where there are stadiums—especially in major esports leagues. You see player booths, commentators, and the roar of fans cheering. It feels very different from playing a game at home with a webcam. I wasn’t sure if this counted as a 'stream'.

I also don't, yet it's a fresh topic I've discovered—always positive!

I both watch streams and stream occasionally. For watching, I join a game I usually play myself and the person playing it, which is entertaining. It's also enjoyable to chat with other viewers—ranging from a few dozen to thousands. I often tune in to see top performers in the game, like pros. There are only a few I watch that aren't professionals (Lirik, disguisedtoast [off Hearthstone], pokimane, and a couple more). I appreciate them for their humor and the funny mistakes they make during games. Also, when someone says "get big," it usually means becoming the most popular streamer. Most major streamers earn between six figures and more each year.

Occasionally I watch female streamers since that’s the only moment they’ll reply to me PepeHands

Really? What's going on here? These game companies are paying people to promote their products? That's pretty unusual.
