When I link to my primary internet connection, both my PC and phone work smoothly—browsing, streaming, downloading, and updating games are all possible. However, online gaming remains problematic; the connection drops frequently, especially with BattleNet and Epic Games. Steam functions correctly. Switching to a secondary connection resolves the issue completely. I’m puzzled by this inconsistency. Could it be related to my router or modem? How should I describe this to my internet service provider? I’ve tried powering off the device for 15 minutes, inspected all connectors, tested buttons, checked firewall settings, updated Windows, but nothing resolved the problem.

The issue seems recent, but I'm not sure how long it's been happening. There have been some changes around when it started—like an ISP notification about an upcoming outage or new updates.

It hasn't been that new. BattleNet had some problems two weeks ago, but I didn’t give it too much thought. Then four days back the "Can’t Log In" problem spread to Epic Games, followed by Emulator games facing login issues yesterday, and now Server-Based games are timing out connections. Peer-to-Peer games are still working. At first I thought it was a system issue. I ran Windows Defender and Malware Bytes but found nothing. After switching the internet connection everything is fine. The ISP didn’t respond. I’ll reach out to them in a few days—calls usually last an hour, and I’m not feeling like waiting.
