I'm dealing with an unusual problem on my PC. The microphone sometimes fails to detect audio even though it's recognized by the system and works normally. This usually happens during a cold boot. Recently, I also experienced no sound through my headphones, but when I raised the volume in the taskbar it seemed to work despite being muted. These issues began about a week ago, after minor changes like adding a HyperX headphone jack and updating AMD drivers 23.9.3 for CS2 support. I've reinstalled Realtek drivers and switched USB ports for the mic, but nothing has resolved the problem. It seems these issues started after the new AMD driver updates. The installation date was September 28th.

Yes, there is a noticeable variation in how the mic responds depending on whether the device is functioning properly or not.

In Devices and Printer, under Sounds, it displays "Yeti Stereo Microphone" but the bar beside it remains gray without any audio. When active, the audio meter fluctuates as it picks up sound, though detection works correctly each time drivers are updated. The problem appears to be elsewhere—rebooting didn't fix it.

In the control panel, access its settings. Under Hardware, look for "Transmit" or the relevant section. Does it indicate proper functionality there?

Also, I should have inquired earlier. Was this a temporary problem or has it continued to stop functioning?
