Story-rich game experience
Most notable Final Fantasy titles are available on Steam. For those not interested in JRPGs, try the Metro Redux series.
You just heard the horrifying noise of skin being removed from a bone. That was you ripping away my heart.
Skyrim's main story has evolved since its debut. Today it functions more as a foundation for numerous mods that deliver compelling narratives surpassing many classic titles. The Forgotten City mod stands out, matching some of the most engaging stories found in gaming. The Interesting NPCs addition enhances this further, featuring impressive voice acting and extensive dialogue for a wide array of characters. Inconsequential NPCs contribute as well, though they’re less impactful unless tied to the quests from Interesting NPCs. Mods such as Helgen Reborn and Falskaar rival Forgotten City in quality. Even at launch, Skyrim felt more like a segment within the Elder Scrolls universe than an independent experience, despite its flexibility. Experiencing the game without delving into its lore or its ties to earlier entries is akin to watching Return of the Jedi without considering Star Wars or The Empire Strikes Back. In summary, it functions adequately only when paired with other Elder Scrolls entries. This is why I highlighted it alongside those games that offer richer character development, storytelling, and narrative depth. If your concern stemmed from labeling Skyrim as an older title, I acknowledge that perception—its maturity is evident both in gameplay and visual quality compared to its predecessors.
I noticed you were pointing out that it sounded like you found it "old."
Check up on the last paragraph of my previous post. However, if it makes you feel any better, here's how great Skyrim can look even on comparatively puny hardware like a 2GB GTX 960. And here's how great it can look on the same card, albeit with little effort put into modding, and next to no performance loss. The GPU wasn't even stressed with this configuration.
I have a modest 4GB GTX 960 and am curious about the modifications used. Skyrim 2K doesn’t resemble that setup at all.
Can't believe no one mentioned Witcher 3... but yeah, witcher 3 has a very good story. not just in the main storyline but the quests as well. get hearts of stone if you can. expansion's brilliant the only issue i could see going into it is that you really have to get into the lore to understand the world
