So essentially I own a MateBook 14 with an AMD 4500H processor and a battery that's at about 85% health. I'm thinking about storing it for several years. Right now, the battery is still performing well, but if I disconnect the battery, will that help maintain its long-term health?

To some degree, yes. We're considering how many years this is. If it's a laptop, just wondering what's holding you back from taking it with you.

So basically I repaired and upgraded this Toshiba laptop, and most of my work can be handled on a mobile device. I want to maintain its condition until I start college, which should be about two years ahead.
