stops working over time: FX9590 + Asrock 990 Extreme9
Hi, after several days I replaced my motherboard due to performance issues. Now I experience freezes lasting 1-2 hours or occasionally longer.
Specifications:
M/B: Asrock Extreme 9 990FX
CPU: FX-9590
GPU: R9 390 GAMING 8G MSI
SSD: Seagate SSHD 2TB SATA 3
MRAM: G.Skil TridentX f3-2133C9D-16GTX
PSU: marks gamming mp1000
I changed the graphics card to the HD 7770 and the RAM to the G.Skill Trident X DDR3 1866 PC3-14900, but the same problem persists. This issue is really bothering me.
1) The gamming mp1000 shows an immediate red flag.
2) What method are you using to cool the FX-9590?
3) Extreme9 might also be facing overload issues.
Have you performed any stability tests on the CPU or GPU, or was this just hastily assembled?
Damric raised concerns about the MP1000 setup, noting an immediate red flag. He also asked about cooling the FX-9590 and mentioned possible overload issues with Extreme9. He questioned whether stability testing was done for CPU or GPU and if it was rushed. He shared his plans to buy an Aerocool Strike-X cooler tomorrow and shared some temperature observations from Asrock Program. He also expressed confusion about overloading and asked for clarification on support levels.
Damric suggests checking ratings for 50C models. He recommends a superior CPU cooler and advises researching VRM design before buying a 220W CPU. He mentions using ASUS Realbench for stability testing and notes that the forum has limited information. He also says the motherboard is suitable if you consider what others discuss, though he admits the Spanish community lacks good data. Finally, he asks if it works with an ASRock cooler.
