Things can go wrong with Corsair, but they usually work well overall. The Event 1001 issue is tricky to figure out because there are many possible reasons. I once had a USB hub that kept drawing too much power, causing my board to enter protection mode and then stop working. This problem didn’t appear right away—it took some time for the hub to develop it.

Thanks for the assistance. It seems you're planning to purchase another power supply since you don't have many alternatives.

I’m focusing heavily on a PSU issue since the recent drive failure. Any diagnostic I’d suggest would probably fail due to system stability. If things were different, I’d recommend Memtest86, though RAM problems can be tough too. The last time I ran a full test with that tool took an entire day.

I'll check if I can run memtest on it. It shouldn't damage anything if it stops during the test, right?

I thought I was doing something, but the money in the basket didn’t fix it. Now I’m preparing for memtest again.

Consider additional diagnostics or system checks next.

I purchased a fresh PSU, but the issue persisted. A new motherboard also didn’t help. Only when I swapped out the CPU did things improve. I suspect the PSU was faulty and may have damaged the C drive in March before I removed the CPU. Since everything is now working smoothly, I’m deciding to wait and avoid risking the new CPU on the old motherboard.
