I experienced repeated freezes and two blue screens. The first was a clock watchdog timeout, and the second was a DPC watchdog violation. After replacing the heatsink and thermal paste, the issue persisted. I rolled back the Windows version to an earlier point but it still locked up completely. I flashed the BIOS, but the locks remained. Now there are only total lockups despite all fixes. It seems possible your power supply unit might be faulty. The motherboard diagnostics indicate AA errors during freezes, which are being forwarded to Windows before failures occur. Less than two months ago, my C drive SSD failed. Could this mean the motherboard itself is defective?
It might be an issue with the power supply unit, requiring repeated bitlocker setup in Safe Mode I’m unfamiliar with. A mix of a faulty PSU and low battery could be responsible—turning off the computer and disconnecting power may reset time/date and BIOS settings if the system is still connected. The recent SSD failure suggests power problems are likely involved, though measuring voltage on a PSU usually needs a multimeter. What era is the machine built in? Is it fairly recent?
