In 30 days, my iTunes Match membership will end. It’s unclear if the service was as good as advertised. I’m thinking about stopping now. Does this imply that purchased songs remain in the cloud or only those from my computer? The main reason for signing up was Apple’s decision to stop offering DRM-free music through their upgrade program. To remove DRM, I had to delete and re-upload the original 128 Kbps files, which sometimes provided a better, DRM-free version. What are your thoughts?

I think they won't be in the cloud anymore. It's odd that a user bought an iTunes match. Nothing wrong with that.

You can also (re)download all files bought from the iTunes Store.

It was the sole valid way to remove the DRM.

Sure, I could easily skip it too. I’m not sure your music will simply disappear.

You may reinstall all bought tracks. Items in the iTunes Store are not ever added again.
