This could even pave the way for modding, particularly now that the anticheat is removed. While it might draw some troublemakers, since you’re managing the servers and probably playing there, banning them should be straightforward rather than depending on an unreliable anti-cheat tool.

Defo thinks it might have been partly due to Splitgate 2 failing completely when it launched, which led to the game not being released. Laughing is good because it lets fans still play the games they enjoy.

Game situation is pretty bad overall; it didn’t turn out well. It was strange coming in with two players, especially since so many of our last matches ended in failure. Still, it’d be nice to see the team get back up again after Epic shut it down and removed it from the stores.

It's clear from the July mention in this new Steam update. Reducing server expenses seems more practical than laying off staff. If you're planning this move, then taking this step—something that actually required effort, not just minor tweaks—can be seen as a responsible way to save costs.

I agree! And for the AntiCheat, that's a problem (if this is a comp shooter of sorts) but I guess there could be mods that implement a new AntiCheat.... I mean it's not the same thing, but meanwhile you can play PS3 games online without a PS3 or a PlayStation "network"... If they can do that they can also make an algo that can detect unrealistic behavior... I mean technically yes, but it's a really bad idea to give players the option to boot everyone who's better than them (IMHO) A network+anticheat AIO solution would be far better, possibly even make it so there's no need for a server (see above, works for PS3 emu etc)

You can jump in now, without handing random developers cash (except for the game you’ll definitely need to buy!) https://wiki.rpcs3.net/index.php?title=U...urnament_3 PS : https://www.ebay.com/itm/155440215028

PS emulation? Most PCs and their series just dropped them all. But you can still play if you own the originals and set up servers—though it’s not as simple or widely available anymore. Even with the newest development tools, the community has been supporting this effort.

RPc3 and similar options are consistently a solid choice, often outperforming PC versions of the same titles. They may not be available on standard PCs for games like Motorstorm or Heavenly Sword, but when they do work, they're really impressive! Network performance is limited, but it's still usable.

They're looking for better performance on PC, especially higher FPS, since it's a competitive multiplayer game.

We had this for quite some time before they removed it under the guise of "anti cheat" measures that failed and actually didn’t help. If you’re banned from a server by an aggressive admin, just switch to another one or create your own. It’s really straightforward. There’s no real advancement here. It’s not the same as Minecraft.
