Stock IDling Temperatures and Voltage Data
Hey everyone, I just upgraded from a 7700k to the Ryzen 3950x and paired it with a Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM 97 CFM liquid cooler. The idle temps are hovering between 46-55°C, which feels a bit high, and the voltage is sitting at 1.4V, also on the higher side. I haven’t pushed anything overclocked yet, except for the memory profile where DOCP is turned on. Are any of you noticing similar temps and voltages? Here’s the full list of parts: CPU, Ryzen 9 3950X, cooler, motherboard, RAM, storage drives, and a few peripherals. Let me know if you’re seeing anything comparable!
Avoid exceeding maximum limits under continuous pressure. Keep temperature near 68-71°C.
Those idle periods don't count if temperatures stay high during operation.
The VID represents the voltage the CPU requests. You have the option to configure a different VDD supply. A value of 1.35 might suffice, while 1.4 is typical for a 3950x model.
