If I use a G1820 stock cooler with a 4790k, would it function like a 4790k stock cooler? Essentially, are G1820 and 4790k stock coolers identical? Are stock coolers for two processors in the same socket the same?
I understand the i7 model has a higher watt rating, but aren't the G1820 and 4790k coolers really comparable in terms of RPM, fan size, and base compatibility? This seems more relevant to the CPU category, as I'm not aiming to overclock at this time.
