A friend recently gave me an Ibuypower PC that stopped working almost a month ago. It didn’t even try to connect, showing power to the old board, RAM, fans, and some RGB parts. The motherboard seemed to have failed, so he replaced it with a new one (MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max). Even after updating the BIOS, it still wouldn’t start. We thought the CPU might have been removed along with the board, so he swapped in a Ryzen 5 5500. I tried using some working RAM and a reliable power supply, but nothing worked. There are four diagnostic LEDs near the 24-pin connector, and the CPU stays on even when power is applied. I’m not very technical, but I’ve put together a whole new system at this point and don’t know what’s going wrong. If anyone has faced this problem, I’d really appreciate your advice.

I fixed the issue, found the motherboard was faulty and got a new one, and the computer is now running properly again.

I realized later but was occupied then, it feels like I missed something important.
