Still not finished in my opinion. Not really what I’m into.

They've been focusing on SQ 42 from the beginning, making it a top priority. While they can only display the MMO, the features reveal that most of what's available is tailored specifically for SQ 42, similar to how many older games treat multiplayer as an afterthought. Wing Commander is also outdated, which means they're pushing forward with its next version. I understand where you're coming from—your previous game was something you really enjoyed, but I believe the improvements and new mechanics will make the wait worthwhile.
I truly believe in it. I’m not claiming to have given up completely, but I feel others are treating the game unfairly, which is understandable.
But they're nearing the launch of Squardron42, and the game continues to function on a single core. You see, this is precisely why I avoid early access or alpha discussions. All feedback gets dismissed under one label forever. You can voice concerns about the game's development and condition, even if it's still in the early stages. The performance is solid, but it's not ideal—especially with the hangar module now causing noticeable lag.
Discusses performance on a single core versus multi-core support. Explains that Star Citizen benefits from multiple cores and suggests checking the user.cfg file for optimization. Notes that the game is CPU-heavy and performance has improved over time despite older hardware. Mentions that some games with similar scope have also faced issues, possibly due to longer development cycles. Offers clarification on potential causes and encourages feedback.
I wouldn't waste time debating this. Most folks overlook how varied computer setups are, and those who grumble usually don’t understand what they’re talking about. You don’t need to be educated to have a view, and they rarely care if 99% have completely different experiences. As for the other person, it looks like they really don’t grasp how game development actually progresses. By this point I’m just exhausted from the endless back-and-forth of this mess. Just watch what happens—if you’re scared of 'feature creep' (which is misleading since the core is still being built; hence alpha), then avoid investing in it. If you start, if you invest money and hope on an alpha project, you should be aware of the risks and what’s possible. Being constantly paranoid and claiming the sky is falling when it’s just speculation doesn’t help anyone.
