So I noticed that for CS6 and above <Adobe> Windows 8 and 8.1 have some type of bug that is incompatible with the programs; as a result, you have to limit the GPU by switching it to Basic mode, which limits you severely if you go to render or perform high quality edits. Should I downgrade to Windows 7 and deal with it, or do I keep 8.1 and hope that a solution emerges from Adobe? Combine this with other bugs between other design programs and I'm not exactly sure if I should downgrade or not. Any advice would be welcome. P.S. This is a brand new build, so data or incompatibility shouldn't be an issue.

It depends on your preference, but I’m open to using Adobe if it meets your needs. Would you prefer 7 features over 8?

Downgrading might be necessary. You seem to be experiencing issues with Windows 8.1. Windows 10 is coming soon.

Yes, it seems likely the release will occur in September of this year.

it seems there are no major issues with windows 8 and cs6. the only problem appears to be third-party filters not displaying correctly, likely related to your computer or drivers. you might want to uninstall all your existing drivers and install the latest ones.
