Steps for windows reinstall.
Right now I'm running an i5 7600k and plan to move to the R5 3600 next week. I've heard that switching between Intel and AMD (or vice versa) works best with a clean Windows setup for reliability. Since I already have Windows installed on my M.2 drive, should I simply mount the new AM4 card, reset it to factory settings, or do I need to erase the current installation first? Also, does using a USB boot drive automatically clear the old version and start fresh, or is there another method to wipe it before reinstalling?
Set up your m.2 drive on the AMD PC, then start from the USB. Wipe all existing partitions and allow the installation to complete. If there are additional drives, consider disconnecting them temporarily.
Start your Windows now. Ignore all the technical talk. Test it yourself and confirm.
Confirmé que tout fonctionne correctement aujourd'hui. Merci.
