It felt similar to a preorder version with additional features such as the soundtrack, digital sketchbook, and a special in-game character, though it seems no longer accessible.

I'm really hooked on Planet Coaster. It's been 12 hours since yesterday night—way too much for me. This game is a solid, enjoyable experience and definitely better than RCTW. YET!!! There are aspects RCTW handles more effectively. The coaster builder offers enhanced options. I don't like the restrictions PC puts on track types. Back in my day, I enjoyed boosting trains instead of relying on a chain lift in RCT3. That feature seems to be missing now. I'd appreciate some small tweaks going forward, but honestly this game is absolutely amazing.

I could try planet coaster if VR support becomes available; otherwise, I might consider my purchase if there’s no official announcement this year.

Planet coaster and RCT are park builder experiences, not roller coaster simulator titles. Adding such elements would be unnecessary for the developers. They already offer first-person perspectives on their coasters, isn't that sufficient as a bonus?

I understand. Using the coasters only makes up a tiny part of the overall experience. I’m not sure how VR would handle tasks like managing staff or designing paths.

Games appear and disappear. GPUs have lasted a long time (mostly).

Trust me, virtual rollercoasters are among the worst ways to use VR. You lose control over the experience—can’t use your hands or move freely, you won’t truly feel speed, drops, loops, or turns. It just tricks your brain into thinking you’re moving while your inner ear says you’re still. On the flip side, I’d like VR to let you place and build things more easily with both hands, and see your own creations at a real scale—like feeling a 100-foot coaster right in front of you. But riding coasters in VR isn’t worth it unless you have an expensive motion simulator that mimics real forces and acceleration.
