SteamOs did not break Rog Ally.
SteamOs did not break Rog Ally.
I just put steamos on my ROG and ran out of free space. Now it won’t boot and stays stuck on the ASUS ROG logo. I cleared some storage using a live USB, but the problem persists. I’m okay with reinstalling the OS (though I’d rather not if possible), but I need to recover some files and don’t know the best way to do it. Hope you can help. Thanks in advance!
It seems unclear what you're asking about. Could you clarify your question? The part about mounting an SSD on a computer isn't directly related to the previous sentence.
You meant to connect it through USB, not worry about taking it apart.
No idea at all about the Ally running SteamOS. Yet if it lacked sufficient space—most guides mention this clearly—that’s definitely an issue. You can boot a Linux live USB on the Ally, mount the internal drive, and explore its files? If yes, consider these steps: Use a micro SD card as a backup, send wifi drivers via email or upload them to a NAS or cloud storage if connectivity works, connect with another USB device using a USBC dock, or simply transfer files onto the LiveUSB’s storage.
