Hi, I see you're having issues with your GTX 1660 setup. Let me know if you need assistance! Your system includes a 1200W PSU, 32GB RAM, and an Intel i7-10700K CPU. The lag and stuttering during Steam VR games might be related to power delivery, thermal management, or driver issues. Check the PSU capacity, ensure proper cooling, and verify your GPU drivers are up to date. Let me know if you'd like more details!

It was working well before. The 1660 Super seems a bit too low for VR, particularly with high refresh rate headsets—what model are you using? Also, I’m wondering about the 1200W PSU; what’s the reason behind that choice?

I received my GTX 1660 brand new today, but Steam VR isn’t running smoothly at all—there’s constant lag. The Steam VR menu starts without any issues, but once you jump into games like Phasmophobia, performance drops significantly. I also got the highest PSU ever when setting up the PC.

I'm also playing Quest 2 and thinking about getting a Rift S for PC VR.

I’ve lowered all settings to their minimum and checked if that improves things. Have you played any games through the Oculus app? Are they running slow too? Is this a fresh Windows install after adding the new GPU? If not, it might help to update or reinstall the GPU drivers and then restart. Also, consider reinstalling Steam or at least Steam VR—though I’m not sure that would solve the problem. It’s also good to be able to play wirelessly if you’re using a game that supports it on quests. Your choice.

It could be because I'm on the third floor while the router is on the first floor. The change from AMD to NVidia might have caused issues, possibly due to uninstalled drivers or too many background processes running.
