Steam uninstalling my games
Hello,
Lately the Pavlov app in my Steam library disappeared unexpectedly. I reinstalled it without much thought. Today, while logging into CSGO, I noticed it was gone again. Steam wouldn’t let me reinstall until I restarted the application. After a restart, it claimed an update for CSGO. That seemed odd since the update was 8GB. I didn’t think such a large update would follow the BR mode release. After updating, I realized CSGO was still installed on my other drive, and it was also present on the first one. Steam then claimed it had been uninstalled even though it wasn’t, and reinstalled it to the second drive. Now I have CSGO on two drives. It’s confusing and a bit frustrating. I’m not great at explaining things, but I hope you can understand. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dylan
If a game is Free, F2P etc Steam has this strange method of making it seem like it wasn't downloaded...then it takes time to verify files...and usually finishes that way. My Media Center has a major problem (I looked into it but figured I could just check before guests arrive lol) since I have many F2P games on it...they always turn grey out. After the file check is done, its back again until the next time I check, lol.
I had to re-add my hdd steam folder after reorganizing my storage and adding another drive. All my steam games indicated they needed installation even though they appeared installed on the HDD. I included my HDD folder and that resolved the issue, though I wasn't sure if this would help with your problem. I tried to assist.
Interesting, could be just a coincidence but all my steam games vanished. I was doing a lot of file transfers, adding and removing files and folders right before. I thought I had messed them up and deleted them, which I probably did just randomly to see this now that all my games are gone...
