I received a new R9 390X and it works well streaming games without any issues. However, when I enable AMD encoding on the screen, it starts flashing and the game encounters problems. I suspect image loss was around 40 to 50, possibly more. Has anyone experienced this? I've installed the latest drivers and turned off AMD GPU encoding temporarily. Also, sorry if I shared this in the wrong place—I saw a few discussions about streaming in gaming.

I'm not overly excited about GPU encoding in general. I ran some tests using OBS with x264 on the CPU, nvenc, and Intel QuickSync. A preset that didn't strain my i7 4790k made it clear that it outperformed the other methods by a big margin. I'd consider AMD's encoding, but I think it would be a real challenge on an HD5770—about as dependable as a fake power supply.
